Emcar Stone Studio is proud to also specialize in stone fabrication. During the fabrication and installation process our trusted team members will take their time making a final inspection of the stone you’ve chosen so that it is fully prepared to be installed into your home or commercial business.
The Fabrication and Installation Process
First our fabricators will thoroughly look over the stone slab. This ensures that the stone is free of any blemishes or fissures. Sometimes, the “blemishes” may be a unique feature that the customer may want to keep. However, this is not always the case, so our team will make sure to choose a slab that fits your wishes.
Next, we will template the stone. This ensures that the flow and pattern of the stone fits with the design we are planning to cut into the stone. Once this has been verified, we will cut the stone to be the correct amount of thickness and dimensions for your specific project. On the CNC machine the stone countertop pieces will be fabricated to meet the most exact measurements possible. During this time, our installers will also make any cutouts and shaping features for anything such as a sink, faucet, or whatever custom idea you may have. Next, our team members will begin the polishing process. The polishing process takes place so that the edges of your stone are polished to align with whatever edge profile you have chosen. After this takes place, we will clean up the edges of the stone to remove any microchipping that may have taken place and to achieve a tight seam. Then finally, we will apply a sealer to the top of the stone and inspect it to make sure that it is the high quality product that you deserve. Once this is done it’s ready to be installed into your home by our team of professionals!
